Under a subcontract with Winrock International, in the framework of NATELI project and  under USAID funding, WEG conducted Energy Audits (EA) in 11 residential buildings representing major types of multi-apartment block buildings in Tbilisi.  Under its Residential Energy Efficiency Component, the NATELI Program focused on housing improvement projects that helped to maximize energy savings and environmental benefits in selected multi-apartment buildings of Tbilisi (which generally have very low energy efficiency) by   means of reducing electricity and natural gas consumption through energy efficiency measures in the common areas of the residential buildings.   The recommendations of the EA can be further used for design of pilot projects and their implementation at selected multi-apartment buildings, through cooperation with Condominium Associations (CA), Tbilisi Municipality and Energy Service Companies  (ESCOs).
