WEG assisted EBRD in the process of drafting the First National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) The goal of the project was to assist the Ministry of Energy with the preparation, drafting, adoption process and publishing of the country’s first NEEAP. The NEEAP identifies significant EE improvement measures and expected energy savings in all sectors taking account of the country’s potential and national EE targets, with a view to achieving high EE performance of the economy.  Specific sectors examined include: Industry, Transport, Buildings (residential), Services including lighting and public buildings, and Generation, transmission, distribution, and supply of energy.

Data collection was guided by international experts and mostly carried out by national experts in coordination with the various national government counterparts – including the Ministry and the National Statistical Office
