The main goal of the joint project is to increase the capacity of EaP CSOs in promoting an enhanced cooperation between the EU and EaP countries in energy security under the new EU initiative – Energy Union.

General objective: to increase awareness and capacity of EaP countries’ CSOs in understanding of the EU new energy initiative-Energy Union and thus to enable synergies and cooperation between the EU and EaP countries for assuring the purpose oriented practical research in energy security.

Specific objectives:

• To analyze Energy Union as a new approach of the EU toward enhancing energy security (main objectives, initiatives, cooperation opportunities and challenges etc.);
• To compare national approaches with EU energy policy;
• To discuss the results on EU and Eastern partnership countries level;
• To develop recommendations for future cooperation and relations;
• To support wide information dissemination in Eastern Partnership countries (government, parliament, NGOs).
